Felix Wight joins Connected Response
Felix is relatively unique in holding a GNVQ in Electrical Engineering, alongside a degree in Social and Political Science (University of Cambridge), and a master’s degree in Energy Policy (Imperial College, London). This combination of practical and academic training will be a great asset to Connected Response in the years to come.
On completing his Masters, Felix spent six years with Community Energy Scotland – during which time he fell in love with Scotland – before taking on the role of Technical Director at Repowering London. Repowering London’s objective is, ‘…to build a clean, local and affordable energy future for everyone’.
Kenny Cameron is Connected Response’s Managing Director commented ‘The ever-changing landscape of sustainable energy generation, and the recognition that electricity will power heating and hot water systems in the decades to come, have created a growing number of opportunities for the technologies developed by the Connected Response team. Felix’s ability to get innovative energy projects over the line will be a huge asset as we seek to take advantage of these opportunities.
‘When Kenny approached me about possibly joining Connected Response, I was excited about working in the private sector for an organisation with a strong social purpose.
I believe Connected Response has a unique set of skills, technologies and experience that sets it apart. I look forward to working with Kenny and the team to, for example, take advantage of the opportunities around the Radio Teleswitch Services (RTS) Shutdown.’
